I’ve been trying to preach to realtors that you need to get from under the shadows of your broker and create a personal brand for yourself. I’m not saying anything groundbreaking here. I’m sure they are being told this at national real estate conventions and within their marketing meetings.
So why aren’t realtors lining up at my door to get their personal branding done?
I don’t think it’s money. One house sold in Miami could pay for their branding TWICE.
I believe the biggest reason realtors don’t brand themselves is because they have no idea who they really are as a realtor. They spend a ton of time networking and chasing listings instead of doing the personal development work needed to come to the market with a message and image that will resonate to a perfect clientele.
We do this as entrepreneurs. We chase clients. We put out marketing plans that cast wide nets. We spend a lot of time meeting “imperfect” clients (clients that aren’t in our wheelhouse).
If we would sit down to really think about who we are, what we’re against, what we love to sell, and who our perfect client is, we’d be having to turn down business (or have a waiting list) because clients would be magnetically attracted to us.
When I met Natalie Rivero, she WAS one of those realtors that I opened this story with. She was doing business with anyone and everyone, not fully committed to a type of client, and borrowing the branding of her broker and riding that wave.

After several talks, months of negotiations (because she’s “THE DEAL MAKER”), and a branding strategy session, I was able to figure out the common thread that weaves between each of her most successful transactions
What I figured out is that Natalie doesn’t operate alone. She relies on a network of other real estate professionals to help her succeed. Not only is she part of a great brokerage (Lifestyle International Realty) that supports her with training and resources, she’s also surrounded herself by a lender, title agent, insurance agent, inspector, property management company, and real estate associates who help her continue her winning formula:

Natalie’s successful winning formula earned her Top Producer of the Year for two consecutive years at her brokerage. In 2015 and 2016, she beat out over 300 agents in revenues generated! Impressive.
